BEN SIEBERT

CEO | Owner

Ben originally founded Save American Energy in 1983, installing energy efficiency measures and solar in homes, commercial buildings, and multi-family properties. In 1994, he invented and patented a line of low-energy consumption lighting, and formed PSI Lighting Products, eventually having distribution in 15 countries. After PSI was acquired in 1998, Ben spent 4 years living off-grid, using self-designed energy generation systems, leading to his love for solar energy. Ben grew up in the construction business, is a licensed general and solar contractor in California, Florida, and Puerto RIco,  as well as a commercial pilot, US Coast Guard Licensed Captain, Certified Rescue Diver, and an accomplished musician.

DENNIS COX

Chief of Operations

​Dennis has been a leader in the solar industry for about 15 years. Starting his solar career as an installer, his leadership  skills and talent, quickly gained him the title of Director of Operations for Unlimited Energy - one of the first solar companies in central California. After being scouted by SolarCity in its infancy, he became the companies first Regional Director, opening his first office in Fresno, CA.  Advancing to Regional Vice President, he opened and directed regional offices from Bakersfield to the Oregon border. For a time, he even went back and forth between California, and the East Coast opening offices in Massachusetts, New York, and New Jersey. In his career at SolarCity, Dennis went from directing a modest office in Fresno, to running 13 offices with approximately 800+ employees working under his leadership.  After taking a short sabbatical, Dennis was excited to join the team at Planet Solar as the Chief Operations Officer and continue his solar journey.

MARILYN EKBERG-SIEBERT

Chief Strategy Officer

Marilyn has an extensive business background, having founded her own company when she was just 20 years old, which she owned for 16 years. Since then, she has acted as strategic consultant for many successful start-ups. Marilyn’s leadership skills have been called upon for numerous organizations as President of many non-profit organizations, and receiving ‘Woman of the Year’ in her hometown of Reedley, CA.   She is the Area Coordinator for Operation Christmas Child which sends millions of Christmas gifts to needy children all over the world. She has been a part of the solar industry since 2007, and her perspective in our industry is relied upon heavily at Planet Solar.

KIRK WEISS | JILL WEISS

Vice President - Sales | Marketing - Lead Generation

Originally from Calgary Alberta, Kirk is a 30+ year resident of the Coachella Valley. After founding a chain of cellular phone stores, solar was the next logical step for Kirk., entering the field in 2008. Few people in this industry are as passionate or knowledgeable about solar as Kirk.  Jill grew up in Vancouver, and brings her extensive marketing and public relations experience to Planet Solar. Her relational approach has given her the nickname “the Queen of Referrals”, and is largely responsible for Planet Solar’s impressive growth.
Both are avid golfers, and love living the desert lifestyle. Kirk and Jill are two of the most dynamic and knowledgeable sales professionals anywhere in this industry, and are great fun to be around too!

STEVE PYLE

Vice President Regional Sales

​Steve Pyle brings over 35 years of management and sales experience to Planet Solar. Steve has received numerous awards in both the international timeshare hotel industry, and as a partner in one of California’s largest pool building companies. For the last many years, Steve has applied his talents to the booming solar industry in the beautiful, sunny California desert.

Customer Service is the foundation of Steve’s work ethic. His enthusiasm, professionalism, and sense of humor have converted nearly all of his clients into real friends. Steve and his wife Delia have been married 35+ yrs, and have two grown children.
