3. HOW DOES A SOLAR SYSTEM WORK?
1) The sun shines on the solar panel generating DC electricity.
2) An inverter converts the DC electricity into household 240v AC electricity.
3) The AC electricity feeds into your electric meter and circuit breaker panel. Your meter literally spins backwards. You use this electricity for your lights and appliances.
Any electricity you don’t use goes to the grid, and you get credited. With your solar system, this process happens automatically every day.

11. WHAT SIZE SOLAR SYSTEM DO I NEED?

12. ARE SOLAR PANELS FRAGILE?
Solar panels are tested to withstand large hailstones and rocks, by dropping a one inch stainless ball bearing on them from a height of 30 feet. They are also engineered to withstand wind loads in excess of 90 mph and tested to withstand weather. However, if the panels are broken for any reason, they are very easy to replace.
